為南澳泰雅人狩獵用具及作戰武器。木柄帶有金屬頭的標槍，是獵人打獵的重要工具，特別是在刺殺山豬、黑熊時，是非常重要的獵具。此外，由清代劉銘傳的奏摺所見，這項武器也是用來抵禦清兵進入山區的重要作戰武器。
